Children’s Clothing Swap
Hosted by Canberra and Region Multiple Birth Association
When: Saturday 31 March 2012, from 9am to 12pm.
Where: Chifley YMCA community hall
What: ‘Swap’ your pre-loved children’s clothing for ‘new-to-you’ children’s clothes. All sizes accepted.
Clothing must be in very good condition (no tears or stains please), clean and ready to wear, all zips and buttons intact and working, and no offensive slogans or pictures.
Please sort your clothes into size and gender, and provide a list of items donated with your name and email address/phone number attached for accurate calculation of credits.
Due to sorting and quality check requirements, clothes to swap cannot be accepted on the day; clothing must be provided to CARMBA no later than Thursday 29 March 2012 to allow time for sorting
Clothing can be dropped off in either MacGregor or Chifley - collection can be arranged if needed.
Participation Fees:
Families contributing clothes to the swap will pay a $2 participation fee ($5 for non-CARMBA members) and receive credits equivalent to their donations. Additional purchases can be made on the day if insufficient credits are available
No clothing to donate?
Families who do not have clothing to donate are still very welcome to attend the clothing swap and purchase clothing. There will be a $5 participation fee, and credits can be purchased at a cost of $1 per credit.
Unable to attend the swap?
CARMBA members are welcome to view the clothing after the event by appointment. Contact Alex at fsp@carmba.org.au for more information.
Credits:
1 credit = socks, singlets, t-shirts, shorts, spencers, stockings, leggings, hats, booties, bibs
2 credits = jumpers, pants, jeans, skirts
3 credits = clothing sets, jackets, coats, shoes, sleeping bags/grobags, swimmers
