About CARMBA

The Canberra and Region Multiple Birth Association (CARMBA) was formed in 1973 and services the ACT, Queanbeyan and surrounding districts including Yass, Cooma, Jindabyne and parts of the South Coast. CARMBA is one of over 80 member clubs established throughout Australia by the Australian Multiple Birth Association (AMBA). Our aim is to offer support and provide information to multiple birth families throughout the ante and postnatal periods, the pre-school stage and the primary and secondary school years.
Membership is open to all parents and guardians of multiple birth children. Associate membership is available to any interested persons or organisations. Gift Membership is also available on request.

Objectives of the Club:
To provide:
  • A means of communication for sharing information on the care and raising of multiple birth children;
  • Social meetings and functions for its members; and
  • To cooperate with related organisations with related interests

Membership:
Open to parents and/or legal guardians of multiple birth children. Associate membership is available to other interested individuals

Club Services:
  • Hire of twin pram and stollers, including triplet strollers;
  • A library specialising in books on multiple births, premature babies, older twins and related topics; and
  • Maternity and 000 baby clothes are available for loan at no cost for a period of two months (donations welcome).

There are three documents in the club package:

  1. Proposed new council structure
  2. The election process
  3. Nomination form and full position descriptions (and the short version of the position descriptions) constitution changes.
