Supporting families of twins, triplets and more across Canberra and the surrounding region.

The Canberra and Region Multiple Birth Association (CARMBA) is a community of families sharing the unique journey of raising multiples.

Established in 1973, we support parents, legal guardians and expectant or adoptive parents of twins, triplets and higher-order multiples throughout pregnancy, infancy, childhood and beyond.

Whether you're expecting multiples, navigating the early years or raising school-aged children, CARMBA is here to help you connect with other families, share resources and feel supported along the way.

We're proud to be part of the Australian Multiple Birth Association (AMBA), connecting our local community with a wider network of multiple birth families across Australia.

A playgroup for CARMBA families for ages 0-5 run out of the ACT playgroup's playrooms during school terms. Parents, grandparents and other carers/helping hands looking after the kids are all welcome along with any siblings! Multiplay is the place to come to meet other families, and to practice getting out of the house. There is always a friendly face and support on the hard days - from unsettled newborns, the terrible twos, and more rambunctious preschoolers!  Multiplay is held in the Castle room in ACT Playgroups, first door on the right as you enter the building. There is a large heated indoor play space with activities and toys for all ages and a large fenced yard with a mud kitchen, sand pit, climbing structures and more. We would love to see some new faces - please contact us if you have any questions about attending or if there is anything we can do to support you.   Important notes: - Park in the carpark at Ellis street. ACT Playgroup entrance is closest entry to the car park (not the Cook shops or Koalas playgroup!) - Please remember to help tidy the space after. There is a stick vacuum for any crumbs, and spray and wipe under the sink. Lots of groups use this play space, please help us keep it tidy for the next group!

New and Expectant Parents Information Session

New and Expectant Parents Information Session

Location TBC New and expectant parents of multiples are invited to attend a free information session to learn more about life with multiple birth children. The New and Expectant Parents' Information Session is a service provided by CARMBA to the community thus membership is not required to attend the event. Topics for discussion include the unique features of pregnancy, birth and feeding multiples, as well as time to answer all your burning questions! If you have a particular topic or question you would like to make sure is covered, please email the committee (committee@carmba.org.au). The information session will be held at (TBC!). Please register for a free ticket to the event!
